What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give website operators useful information.

Cookies can be "session cookies" (which are deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them).

Essential Cookies We Use

We use a limited number of strictly necessary cookies that are essential for the operation of MyTwinVoice. These cookies do not require your consent under GDPR as they are necessary for the Service to function. Without them, we cannot provide you with the Service.

CookiePurposeTypeDuration
supabase.auth.tokenYour signed-in session, so you do not have to sign in on every page. Set only after you sign in.EssentialUntil sign-out (localStorage)
sb-access-tokenSupabase authentication token used to securely access your data through our API.Essential1 hour (auto-refreshed)
sb-refresh-tokenSupabase refresh token used to renew your authentication session without re-login.Essential7 days
mytwin-languageStores your preferred language setting so the interface is displayed in your chosen language.EssentialPersistent (localStorage)
mytwin-darkmodeStores your dark/light mode preference for display settings.EssentialPersistent (localStorage)
cookie-consent-acceptedRecords whether you have accepted our cookie notice so it is not shown again.EssentialPersistent (localStorage)

Note: Items marked "localStorage" are technically stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies, but we include them here for transparency.

Analytics, Advertising and Tracking Cookies

We set none. The current version of MyTwinVoice, on the web and in the mobile apps, contains no advertising network, no attribution or marketing SDK and no third-party analytics service. We do not share data with data brokers, and we do not link the data we hold with third-party data for marketing or advertising. No cookie or identifier is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

If we ever add an analytics tool, it will be opt-in: this page will name it, the cookie banner will ask first, and nothing will be set before you agree.

Third-Party Services on Our Pages

Two services run inside MyTwinVoice for its own operation. Neither is used for advertising or profiling, and neither receives your chat content:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile protects the sign-in and sign-up forms from bots. The widget may set a short-lived, functional cookie of its own inside its frame. We receive only a pass/fail token.
  • Sentry collects crash reports and performance diagnostics so we can fix errors, including a sampled session replay in which text and inputs are masked. Sentry stores data in the EU, is not linked to your identity in our configuration and is not used for advertising. It uses local storage in your browser, not cookies, for this.

How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically find these in the "Options", "Settings", or "Preferences" menu of your browser. You can configure your browser to:

  • Block all cookies.
  • Accept only first-party cookies.
  • Delete cookies when you close your browser.
  • Be notified before a cookie is set.

Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly. You may not be able to log in or use certain features if essential cookies are disabled.

Clearing Local Storage

To clear locally stored preferences (language, dark mode, cookie consent), you can use your browser's developer tools to clear local storage for the MyTwinVoice domain, or use the "Clear site data" option in your browser settings.
